Welcome to Arrakis; Dune, Desert Planet.

Dune, Desert Planet. The home of  the Freman A place that holds a great secret.  Here lies the Spice Melange, the mutative and addictive Spice that enable Guild Helmsman to fold space.  Here on this planet where worms grow in meters and attack rythmic vibrations.  Where the power struggle before the clans of Harkonnen and Artreides holds the known Universe on the edge of a Jihad, a holy war.  Enter Paul Maud'dib Artreides, the son of the Duke Leto Artreides, altered by the Spice to become the most powerful super-human.

The sights and sounds of Dune come alive in the very pages of Frank Herbet's masterpiece of Science Fiction.  Here, armies clash.  The scattering of the Freman, desert people, come in vast numbers and the fall of the Padishar Emperor and his legions of Sardurkar before massive sand worms. This is the legend of Dune.

Paul Artreides, pictured with a wierding module in his hands, uses sound to destroy his enemies, the Harkonnens, and the Emperor.  His power, mutated by the spice makes him ever-powerful.  But can he control the Universe, and himself.  The question of absolute power corrupts absolutely is apparent.

But in the meantime, mighty armies clash, spaceships shatter in pryotechnic displays and another saga of space-war conflict breaks over the sands of Dune.

The basic story concept of Dune follows the son of the Duke Leto Artriedes as they take control of the Fief Planet of Arrakis as per the order of the Padishar Emperor.  But that is only because the Artriedes clan has gotten to powerful and the Emperor is concern about the balance of power...

...in his govenment.  Exposed on their new settlement allows the previous and equally powerful housed Harkonnen to rain fire and destruction.  But only one force can stop them, the legend of the super-being.  Genetically controlled breeding has been going on for generations, controlled by the Truthseer religious group in the story.  They are trying to produce the legendary super-being to bring peace and order to the Galaxy.  But now this being that they hope to have in their control is dropped into the whirlwind of desert storms and feudal clan wars.

Paul Artriedes, AKA as Ma'uddib/Usal, becomes the leader of the Freman.  Using his new adorned powers and the technology of the wierding modules, he leads and unstoppable force against the Harkonnens and their supported legions of the Emperor's Sardukar troops.  Joined by the remains of the Artriedes Royal forces lead by Gurney Hallack, the oppose the Emperor in the final battle riding on the massive Worms.

Dune supports many strange vehicles as the 'thropter above and several images of suits and designs as pictured below.
